It looks like we are all going to be affected by severe weather this year and we would like to offer some advice on securing equipment before the severe weather comes in.
Mastclimbers.
- Please bring the platform down to the base at the end of each work day, do not leave elevated if there is a chance of high winds. (If there is a chance of flooding please leave the platform above the likely flood level, usually between ties one and two).
- Before any severe weather, please disconnect from any electrical supply.
- Please make secure any loose items on the platform, please check planking and plywood.
- Please remove any large banners or boarding on the platform. Check overhead protection is secure and safe.
- Please do not operate the platform when lightening is in the local area, or forecasted.
Transport platforms and construction elevators.
- Please bring the platform/ car(s) down to the base at the end of each work day, do not leave elevated if there is a chance of high winds. (If there is a chance of flooding please leave the platform above the likely flood level, usually between ties one and two).
- Before any severe weather, please disconnect from any electrical supply.
- Please make secure any loose items have been secured.
- Please check all gates and landings are secure
- Please do not operate the platform when lightening is in the local area, or forecasted.
After any severe weather, please make sure all daily and weekly checks are completed before operating and contact us if in any doubt. If the platform / car has been flooded, please contact us before connecting to power.
